Happy Administrative Assistants' Day! We have the best secretaries in the whole world. Students made cards and dropped off little treats all day to show their appreciation. We are so grateful to have Ms. Mirvet Hamad and Ms. Jennie Wierzbicki in our main office.
Thank you so much PTA and parents for helping us with our Spring Bookfair! Students were so excited to purchase books and other items.
Thank you to Cook County Ag in the Classroom for your presentation today to our fourth graders. Fantastic to learn about our renewable and non-renewable resources here in Illinois.
It's that time of year! Be on the look out for your returning student registration letters for the 22-23 school year.
Monday was National School Librarian Appreciation Day! Our librarian, Ms. Niceforo, works so hard to get books to the kids in a timely manner. Her entire procedure changed 3 times over the last 3 years due to safety, COVID protocols and she's been a trouper!
For the last couple of weeks, ss were challenged to be kind. Ss learned about our custodians & everything they do. Their many talents include assembling furniture, helping with deliveries, maintenance of the building, snow removal... "DONUT estimate the power of kindness!"
This week, Lieb ss are reviewing "cool tools" for our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) Program. Students review how to act in hallways, classrooms, bathrooms, lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, and the nurse/main office.
Some nonstandard measurement practice unprompted at lunch today. Love to see that transfer of knowledge!
4th gr. did a multiplication challenge! Ss made posters & were extremely supportive of those in the finals. They were cheering. What great teamwork! Congrats 4th grade & a shout-out to Ms. Rangel, Ms. Piech, Ms. Zugaj, Ms. Hasan, Ms. Zugaj, & Ms. Meyer for making this happen!
A little dance moves from our kindergarteners as they count by 5’s!
More fun activities from the week before Spring Break!
We had a lot of mysterious things happen this week at Lieb! Someone (or something) planted coins on our playground. Kindergarten & 1st ran around trying to find a coin & had a blast! Some kids found more than one & shared with others, because this week's theme was KINDNESS!
Congratulations to our Lieb Family on tonight's District PTA Volleyball Game! RSD 122 knows how to have fun!
Congratulations to students and staff for 2 wins tonight and the School Spirit Award! We have such a great Lieb Family!
Just a snapshot of award winners for trimester 2. Lots of accomplishments in the second trimester for students in all grades. Finish strong Lieb Eagles!
Thanks to all the parents who brought students out in the rain to watch the district volleyball game. 2 wins and most importantly the School Spirit Award! Thanks PTA for organizing this event!
Students really enjoyed the weather this week. Ms. Wrobel took her kids outside for some math practice and Mrs. Kenis took classes outside for an extra recess, to let off some much needed steam!

4th Grade finished their book club with life sized characters from the story, "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing"!
Our first grade teachers (Ms. Smith, Ms. Denton, and Ms. Cockrell) and their students made ice cream today! This activity was a fun way to end Unit 3! They learned how food is made. What a treat!
