Yesterday, Lieb wore orange for "Pumpkin Spice, Choose to be Nice". This month is Bully Prevention month & grade-levels can win "pumpkins" for a prize- when they are caught doing something nice! We caught a student giving a handmade card to one of our custodians. So nice!
For the last two weeks, Officer Bill presented a Safety Talk to our students. Many topics were discussed including the internet, home phone/addresses, street safety, stranger danger, and being kind to others. Thank you, Officer Bill!
Thank you to our PTA for hosting such a successful movie night!
Also, thanks to the Oak Lawn Park District, AMC Chicago Ridge, KC Audio, & the Medina Family for their support.

Over the last couple of years, our K-2 classes adapted a new phonics curriculum: FUNdations. Staff and students love it! A trainer from the company came out spent the whole day with our staff and students. Even though our staff is amazing, they always seek opportunities to grow.
Yesterday, every student received a bag with multiple books from a community organization, "Bernie's Books". The kids were very excited. We hope you enjoy them!

When looking at this photo, you can predict that Ms. Smith's class is working on morning calendar time. However, it goes even deeper than that! If you look at the apples on the calendar, you will see a pattern. Spots and no spots. Teachers work hard to incorporate multiple standards into one activity. They truly are amazing!
Game 1 Lieb vs. Harnew…. Lieb won! Congratulations!
Today is Lieb vs. Columbus Manor in game two. Lieb will play second round again today, so approx. at 5:00p.m.
Those coming to cheer on Lieb, please attend with a parent. All fans are asked to cheer from the fan seating area away from the sidelines. Feel free to bring lawn chairs for the event.

A big thank you to Andy's Frozen Custard in Burbank! They donated the ice cream for our students yesterday. We truly have the best community ever. We encourage our families to visit the many businesses that have helped us this year!
