From the Principal's Desk
Hello, Kolb School Families!
August has come and gone and we are excited to begin the month of September here at Kolb. It has been so exciting to see the students reconnecting and making new friends. The teachers are happy to have your children back and they are ready to do their best to make sure we meet your child’s educational needs. The past few weeks, we have been building relationships and practicing routines and procedures to be sure students are ready to learn.
Parents play a crucial role in reinforcing routines and procedures at home that support their child’s success at school. You can help by establishing a consistent daily routine that includes time for homework, reading, and a good night’s sleep. Encourage your child to talk about their school day, discussing what they’ve learned and any challenges they might face. Practicing morning routines, such as preparing their backpack and setting out clothes the night before, can also help them start the day smoothly. By reinforcing these habits at home, you’ll help your child feel more confident and prepared, making each school day a positive experience.
During the month of September, we will be practicing our safety drills. You may be hearing students talking about the alarms and drills. Please encourage your children to always take the practice drills seriously. We completed one fire drill so far and the students were amazing!
Below you can find more information about the month of September here at Kolb. I hope to see you all at the Back to School Bash on September 15th over at Lieb School.
Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. Go Tigers!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Maher
